Lighten up… Zen style

Got a quick funny e-mail that I thought you all might appreciate.

1. Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either. Just pretty much leave me the hell alone.

2. The journey of a thousand miles begins with a broken fan belt and leaky tire.

3. It’s always darkest before dawn. So if you’re going to steal your neighbor’s newspaper, that’s the time to do it.

4. Don’t be irreplaceable. If you can’t be replaced, you can’t be promoted.

5. Always remember that you’re unique. Just like everyone else.

6. Never test the depth of the water with both feet.

7. If you think nobody cares if you’re alive, try missing a couple of car payments.

8. Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you’re a mile away and you have their shoes.

9. If at first you don’t succeed, skydiving is not for you.

10. Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish, and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

11. If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

12. If you tell the truth, you don’t have to remember anything.

13. Some days you’re the bug; some days you’re the windshield.

14 Everyone seems normal until you get to know them.

15. The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

16. A closed mouth gathers no foot.

17. Duct tape is like ‘The Force’. It has a light side and a dark side, and it holds the universe together.

18. There are two theories to arguing with women. Neither one works.

19. Generally speaking, you aren’t learning much when your lips are moving.

20. Experience is something you don’t get until just after you need it.

21. Never miss a good chance to shut up.

22. Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.

From one event to another

Hi gang,

Sorry for being MIA for such a long time. I usually post up entries in advance so most of you would not get bored. However, I was literally swamped in work. Yes, I will admit that I am tired but I will have to say that I am satisfied and happy with everything.

The Heritage Heboh Street Festival to honor my mentor, Janet Pillai went off with a blast. I got bad sunburnt skin because I was in the sun for over 5 hours without sunblock. My bad!! So now I have to suffer the consequences. Photos of the event? Sorry but I do not have them at all… Unless someone forwards them to me.

Speaking of photos, I am way behind my photos submissions haven’t I? I hate to promise and not fulfill it. And I hate to say I will try. So, if you see the photos, that means they are up. If you don’t just, pray that I do it as soon as possible.

My next event is the Little Penang Street Market. Click on the link and find out k?

Have you ever?

This is a message to everyone out there.

I need help on this, I am not sure what this is called.

There were a few occasions when it is after midnight and I am working (real work mind you, my crazy brain is at its peak after midnight) on my computer. I feel the urge to get up and run. When I mean run, it is like running as in exercising. Why is that?

First of all, I am not a runner and from my physicality, not a big fan of exercise, though I do some to make sure I am alive.

As I am typing this now, I feel like running again.

I have work to do and running isn’t going to help. Or would it? This has been happening for over a year now. My friend, Eric, asked me to answer it. Well, I never did because

a. I am usually working on a deadline
b. Why should I?

I am not sure. Should I just answer this strange calling? I mean to go running. Is it a metaphor for something deeper that my sub-concious mind is trying to express through a physical mean?

My sis says I think too much and maybe I have. But in life, we all can’t just live it without rational thinking. Or should we? I mean to live life without thinking twice and just do it? Strange but perhaps it might work. Just do what your body tells you. Hmmm… Interesting… Scary… Perhaps Chaotic in some kind of twisted way.

I’ll go crazy

Monday, July 10th, 2006

When there is no noise,
I’ll go crazy,
When there is too much noise,
I’ll go crazy,
When days are empty,
I’ll go crazy,
When days are hectic,
I’ll go crazy.
