Mawi Vs Siti….
Haiyo enough is enough la….
It happened two days ago and papers are still reporting on it.
Which had more viewers la…Which show is better la…. even the MPs in the Parliament are talking about it. Heck, I am not shocked if they would come up with a wedding DVD set for the fans.
I was subjected to watch Siti’s wedding because the TV at the mamak stall was showing it. What happened?
Well, just imagine 5 female theater students who are trained in the art of criticism, sitting and watching a media hyped up fairytale wedding. Trust me it is not a pretty sight, seeing us shouting and making remarks on everything from the lighting to the wedding dress.
Speaking of wedding dresses, what’s up with the poofy sleeves and pink and white ensemble? I am not much of a fashion police but I do believe that is a fashion faux pas. Don’t we have good designers at all?? The dress as most of us agreed reminded us of Barbie in Fairytophia. Malaysia’s darling deserves better. And why are the bride’s maids dressed in white? That is the bride’s colour. So many mistakes, that I do not know where to begin…
Despite much hype about the wedding, it fell short to my expectation. Perhaps after all the media coverage I was expecting something of collosal proportion. Something that can rival Trump’s wedding or something. There are sceptics who are betting to see how long this union will last. After all, Erra and Yusry did split after a very high profiled wedding some 3 years ago.
While 6.7 million watched sweet Siti getting hitched, 4.3 million were teary eyed over Ina and Mawi’s ‘reunion’. I do not know how accurate this statistic is. But almost 50% of our population was actually tuning in to watch TV on a Monday night? How bizarre!!! Then according to another survey over 3 million could not make up their mind and were switching between channels.
Give it a rest will ya? It enough seeing Mawi’s mug being plastered all over the place now his ex-fiancee is jumping the bandwagon as well. Then again, why not. I bet the money is good and after all, Malaysia is such a small country, you better make hay while the sun is still shining in Mawiland.
I am not a fan of either. But I was glad I watched the wedding.

i admit, we were pretty darn noisy. somehow, with voice projection training, we just cant seem to talk subtly anymore. even when we think we’re talking softly…actually, people could hear us half a mile away
Oh wow… so this is what it has come down to. *shakes head sadly*
Hey Adel I finally took your advice and i am putting designs on shirts at cafepress.com! My friend Aida and I have decided to go into business together and split the cost of getting a premium shop, which we will probably set up this weekend.
If you want to see some design samples, I’ve got a few under the ‘scraps’ folder at http://poisonedapples.deviantart.com … Since you’re the one who encouraged me to check out cafepress, and started the ball rolling, I would love some of your feedback.
*hugs*
