The life and mind of Adeline Ong

A few people have asked me why I actually keep a website.

Well, since this is such a popular question.

I have chose to finally answer it.

Reason #1

It keeps my writer’s mind active. The worst thing that can ever happen to a writer is losing his/her skills of writing. Therefore, sometimes the things I post up are not up to par. It is just to keep me thinking and active.

Reason #2

Since I have a website, I use it to help promote events and activities. Much to the displeasure of some people because they expect to read a proper article. My only defense is this, when event organizers have a very low budget, they need every little bit of publicity that they can get. I mean I have been in their shoes with my previous job and currently am back into theater. Every little bit counts.

Reason #3

I am my own BRAND. What better way to self promote than to have your own site? According to the wise words of Sir Richard Branson, when you want to promote something, do it shamelessly and be proud of it. By the way, if you want to learn that skill, I have a friend who does it perfectly. In case you are wondering I bought the name at Host On Fire

Reason #4

This is one of the many ways for my friends to find out what I am up to. Ever since we finished school, everyone seems to be everywhere. Meeting up and trying to catch up is rather crazy. So I guess I am leveraging the power of the Internet to update everyone.

Reason #5

Other than acting, this site is what keeps me sane. It is my form of escapism. I feel at peace when I write. Ommmmmmmmm…….

Reason #6

Having a website allows me to reach out to others. Some, not all of my articles do that. But if one article changes the life of someone (in a positive manner, I hope), then updating this site is very worth while.

Reason #7

The capitalist in me would love to soon make money using this site. We will see how that one goes.
