Vacancy for Coordinator
at Little Penang Street Market, Penang
The Little Penang Street Market (LPSM) is a monthly arts & crafts bazaar which also provides a platform for performing arts, music and arts education. It takes place every last Sunday of the month.
Its mission is to support contemporary handicrafts and living heritage through a public street market. The market provides a low-cost venue for artisans, as well as charity groups, to sell directly to consumers.
We are looking for a person who is self motivated, energetic and has good interpersonal skills to join our team as a Coordinator.
The Job will include:
Organising meetings
Basic accounting skills
Writing articles, pamphlets and publications
Liaising with the mass media, government agencies and NGOs
Liaising with Market vendors and entertainers.
Organising and runing the monthly market
Knowledge of correl draw or photoshop an advantage, as well as basic HTML programming skills
Knowledge of Mandarin or Hokkien an advantage.
Working with the requirements of a committee
Other requirements: Good communication skills and a team player is a must. The person must be fluent in both English and Bahasa Malaysia (writing and oral) and be computer savvy.
Your own transport is essential.
A degree is not essential.
