I am the granddaughter of hawkers from Penang on dad’s side. Plus my mom loved to cook and has a menagerie of recipe clippings and what nots lying about. So cooking is like second nature to me. I begged my grandmother to teach me how to cook. Which she finally did when I was 10. Sadly, she passed away when I was 12. There were so many family recipes that went with her to the other side. I have been cooking and experimenting ever since. Most of the time, Ben is always the guinea pig. I used to cook breakfast almost every morning for my ex. I am not sure if it is because I loved him or because I loved cooking.

Recently, XR brought back avocadoes from Sabah. I never knew we grew avocadoes locally but that is another matter. With avocadoes, naturally you make guacamole. Now I have never made guacamole before. Read a few recipes a long time ago but never made it.

However, when God gives you avocadoes, you make GUACAMOLE!!!! (Not original, I know. But so I care?)

Here is my Guacamole Recipe.
Enjoy!!!

2 ripe avocadoes, deseed and cubed
5 tablespoons of light sour cream
4 tablespoons of chopped yellow/white onion
3 tablespoons of tomato salsa
1-2 teaspoons jalapeno pepper finely chopped (optional)

1.	Mash avocadoes with sour cream in a big bowl.
2.	Fold in the other ingredients.
3.	Mix well.
4.	Serve with Nacho chips.

Note:- Since the guacamole is fresh. It will probably keep 2-3 days in the fridge in an air tight jar.
