I found the name of the band interesting enough to take a listen to them.

I love this song.

Noah and Alex have been singing praises about this movie. Both have been asking me to watch it since June. I did not give it much thought until Oprah had a show about the movie. I fell in love with the movie just by watching the preview. 33 Beatles songs are used in this movie.

Finally, last week I manage to loan Alex’s copy. I watched it over the weekend. I love the Beatles and their songs but now that love is elevated to a higher level.

When the song first aired on the local radios, I absolutely love the song. But when I saw the video, I loved it even more.

Heard this as a background to an advert. Went crazy searching for it. Finally found it and now I want to share it.

While waiting to meet up with Alex for the manipulate exhibition in 1 Utama on Sunday, I watched on Animax to kill time. They were having a music station marathon and were featuring loads of Japanese singers. I know lately I have been listening to a lot of Gothic, punk rock, emo (to be honest, I am not sure what the genre is anymore) but I immediately fell in love with the song. Perhaps it is the song lyrics. The video below has actually been subbed by fans for us, non-Japanese understanding people.

The first time I was introduced to Avenue Q was when I watched the 58th Tony Awards, I fell in love with the song and the show.

This Chinese New Year, Ash sent me the soundtrack. Ooo… I have listened to it. Laughed but that was it.

Recently, I found out the cast and crew of COOTC were also fans. Thus, I am back at listening to the CD and bursting into song randomly when I am around these people. I love these lot.

Before joining the Coming Out of the Closet (COOTC) team, I have never heard of the Laramie Project. It sounded interesting to me though. Glam initially sent me a trailer. I watched it with much interest. A few days ago, he was kind enough to loan me a DVD of the movie. The emotions that the movie evoked in me, was something that I have not felt in years. I cried. I have not cried watching movies for a while now.

After hearing about the essence of the story, I really want to be a part of The Laramie Project as an actor. I have never felt so strongly of a project since my graduation directorial of Red Carnations in 2006. Watching the movie only enforced how I have felt when I first heard the story. It has to be retold so others might learn.

Earlier there were talks of The Laramie Project being staged in Malaysia. However, I have just received news that the project has been scrapped.

Too bad that the stage production of it will not come about anytime soon. The role that I really wanted is Christina Ricci’s. I guess, this might just mean I will have bigger project coming my way.

Knowingly sooner or later, I will have to eventually move on from COOTC. Just like how I moved on from RC. I just hope that the closeness is still there like I have with my RC monkeys.

Short update on the monkeys. Chris and Michy are still in Penang. Pris is somewhere in the jungle hanging off some tree in Borneo. I am not sure where Astra is though. All will be graduating in August.  Sam, Halim, Anne, Joi and I are all in KL doing different stuff.

I am a big big fan of the Secret Movie and Audiobook. I was fortunate enough to be the first few who have watched the copy when Esther Hicks was still part of the Secret’s team. Anyhow, the Secret has worked for me in many different ways. I am still waiting for the financial part to appear but I have been goofing about too much. Whoops!!

I have written an entry about The Secret previously but that was before I had more distinctions about the topic.
